Want to skip the line at the airport? TSA PreCheck helps do that and now local travelers will the chance to register for it next week.
Next week, IdentoGO, an official partner of the Transportation Security Administration, will be onsite at the San Luis Obispo County Regional Airport to help travelers register for the TSA PreCheck program.
PreCheck is an expedited security screening program that allows members to keep on light jackets, shoes and belts during the airport security process, as well as to keep their laptops and compliant liquids in their bag.
IdentoGO’s mobile enrollment RV will be in the parking lot in front of the old airport terminal March 16 – 20.
There will be several appointment opportunities for travelers to apply:
• March 16 – 19, from 9:00 am – 5:00 pm (closed 12:00 – 1:00 pm)
• March 20 from 9:00 am – 12:00 pm
TSA PreCheck memberships are valid at airports across the country.
To enroll, attendees must bring a government-issued photo ID with proof of U.S. citizenship (i.e., a passport or birth certificate—names on documents must match exactly) and complete a 10-minute fingerprinting process.
If approved, the $85 registration is valid for five years.
