San Luis Obispo County Sheriff's Office reveals new inmate visitation system

San Luis Obispo County has a new visitation system for inmates. Visitors can now go online and talk to inmates via video.

The San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office went live with the inmate visitation program on Oct. 7. It is provided through a partnership with NCIC Inmate Communications and Homewav.

Through the system, inmates and their visitors will pay 19 cents per minute for phone calls and 20 cents per minute for video visits. There is no connection fee for either service. The San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office recommends that people register and await jail approval before using the systems.
