The Santa Barbara Airport Triennial Full-Scale Disaster Drill exercise will take place on Wednesday.
The purpose of the drill is to have emergency responders practice and prepare in the case of a major aircraft disaster.
This live exercise will be conducted in compliance with Federal Aviation Administration requirements.
The drill will be held between 9:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. Wednesday morning.
People traveling along Hollister Avenue between Aero Camino and Los Carneros during this time may see smoke as a part of the mock drill scenario.
