The County of Santa Barbara is seeking the communities help to identify fair housing and other economic development issues.
The County, including Goleta, Lompoc, and Santa Maria are requesting residents to participate in a brief survey designed to identify those issues.
As a recipient of Federal funds awarded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), the County and participating jurisdictions are each required to certify that they will affirmatively further fair housing. They are also required to develop a 5-year comprehensive plan for housing and community development to determine the types of projects that should be financed in the future.
Completing this survey will help participating cities to gain a more qualitative analysis of the knowledge, experiences, opinions and feelings of community members on these topics across the County. Responses are entirely confidential and are completely anonymous to protect the respondent's identity.
