Some low-risk business in Santa Barbara County will begin to reopen on Friday, May 8.
Following the guidelines of Governor Gavin Newsom's 4-Stage Process, Santa Barbara County is now moving through Stage 2 of the process. And with that a limited number of businesses will be able to reopen -- with safeguards in place.
Those business include:
- Jewelry stores
- Music stores
- Shoe stores
- Sporting Good stores
- Toy stores
- Antique stores
- Book stores
- Clothing stores
- Florists
- Home and Furnishing stores
The businesses allowed to reopen can do so with curbside pick-up only, according to a Santa Barbara County Public Health press release. And those businesses must also maintain physical distancing protocols for staff and customers.
Supply chains supporting the business that can reopen -- in manufacturing and logistics -- may also reopen, according to a Santa Barbara County press release.
