The Santa Barbara City Council unanimously voted for the educational enforcement of face coverings.
The city will use ambassadors and the police department to help enforce the rules.
In extreme cases or as a last resort, they will also have the ability to write citations.
The City says this also includes targeted enforcement in high-risk areas.
