Starting Monday, the Santa Maria Valley Chamber of Commerce will provide free personal protective equipment, or PPE, to struggling businesses during the pandemic.

The chamber will give out free hand sanitizer, face masks, and face shields for small businesses with 20 employees or fewer.

Business owners can pick up the PPE at the chamber office, located on 614 South Broadway in Santa Maria, Monday through Wednesday between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m..

The President and CEO of the chamber, Glenn Morris, says PPE will be available on a first come, first served basis.

"We've been trying real hard to be as helpful as we can to our small businesses and really doing anything that we could do to help them stay in business," Morris said.
