Firefighters in Santa Maria put their "all-risk" training to use Sunday when they responded to a unique distress call.
Animal control and firefighters were called to the 300 block of W. Williams St. to help a cat that had become stuck in a storm drain, the fire department wrote on Twitter.
The crew was able to pull the cat to safety and the feline is said to be doing fine.
