Santa Maria High School FFA held its first-ever student of the month drive-thru on Oct. 28.
According to the press release, students were recognized for their academic achievement and their involvement in the program.
The school gave students a whole pizza to take home, as well as an award certificate and mug.
"We're used to seeing the kids being in a room full of kids and right now we can only see those little faces in the screen but this is real life so big difference certainly," Santa Maria High School Agriculture Teacher Luis Guerra said.
Under normal circumstances, the agriculture department would usually host an FFA luncheon for the students.
