Despite the COVID-19 outbreak, Santa Maria High School teachers and counselors found a way to show their support on Friday for graduating seniors who are moving on to higher education.
Staff and faculty members held a drive-by ceremony at the school's parking lot to celebrate the nearly 150 students going to college or serving in the armed forces.
Madilynn Arguijo, one of the high school seniors at the ceremony, said she plans on joining the U.S. Navy.
"It's really good to feel the support of the school, even after all we've been through and even though school is coming to an end," said Arguijo.
