Marian Regional Medical Center in Santa Maria has announced a donation to its pediatric unit from the Santa Ynez Valley 4H Club.
The group, comprised of six boys between the ages of 5 and 14, decided to collect gently used books that they could deliver to the children in the hospital.
Their book drive reportedly collected more than 200 books that the boys delivered to the Marian Regional Medical Center Pediatric Unit.
Hospital officials say the patients and unit were grateful for the donations.
