Many gathered to listen to uplifting music at a free local concert.
The Santa Maria Philharmonic Society put on a free hour-long show of "Fly Me to the Moon" at the Pacific Christian Center in Santa Maria.
This event also featured a multimedia presentation and light show. It was a first of it's kind to offer a public presentation for fourth grade students in the Santa Maria Valley.
The concert is organized through the Santa Maria Philharmonic Society's educational outreach program.
