UPDATE: (2/16/22, 10:43 a.m.) - Officials confirmed Wednesday morning that the paddleboarder was located unharmed the day before.
Capt. Daniel Bertucelli, Public Information Officer for Santa Barbara County Fire Department, said the paddleboarder was able to return to shore on their own. They landed at Hendry's Beach in Santa Barbara.
Fire officials confirmed they were uninjured, and the search was called off about one hour after it began.

Original Story: (2/15/22, 2:06 p.m.) - Emergency crews are searching for a paddleboarder possibly in distress at Goleta Beach.
The Santa Barbara County Fire Department was called to the area just after 1 p.m. Tuesday.
Fire officials say heavy winds and seas are making the search, which is also being done from the air, difficult.
People are told to stay out of the water at this time due to the conditions.
No other information was immediately available.
