Prescribed burning is set to get underway on Figueroa Mountain in Santa Barbara County.
The burn window is Feb. 3 through Mar. 31.
The Los Padres National Forest says the goal of the series of one-day burns is to reduce the risk of wildfire.
Around 1 to 10 acres of slash from felled dead trees and brush will be burned daily.
The burn will start at 8:00 a.m. and wrap up at 5 p.m.
