Several agencies in Santa Barbara County will participate in an oil spill boom deployment drill at Goleta Beach Wednesday.
Santa Barbara County Fire resources will be used for the mock oil spill drill. The goal of the training is to prepare the fire department, fish and wildlife and the Coast Guard in case a real oil spill happens.
The drill will begin at 9 a.m. and will last until approximately 2 p.m. Goleta Beach will not be closed during the training.
