San Luis Obispo City Fire has launched a new program to help save lives.
It's distributing free information cards where residents can list all medications, any special health conditions, and who to contact in the event of an emergency.
The card is kept inside a bright red vinyl sleeve marked File of Life where users can post on their fridge or anywhere that's visible for first responders.
The cards can be picked up at any of the department's four fire stations.
