Two bear art pieces featured in the Mission Plaza fountain were removed Monday for maintenance, San Luis Obispo officials said.
Officials said the public art pieces were removed to be cleaned and "restored to their original glory."
City staff restores public art pieces when needed on a rotating basis.
The two bears will be restored in roughly three weeks, according to city officials.
