More than 250 acres are scheduled to be burned this weekend on Diablo Canyon property.
Saturday's burn is the fourth burn out of 11 in a year-long effort aimed to reduce the fire hazard in the area while also restoring decadent Bishop pine stands, according to CAL FIRE.
Multiple resources, including a bulldozer, fire engines, hand crews and helicopters, will be on scene.
PG&E says the burn is being conducted and organized by CAL FIRE but is on Diablo Canyon property closer to the power plant.
CAL FIRE says smoke from the burn may be visible during the day along the Highway 101 corridor from Avila Beach to Santa Maria.
