South County Warming Center open in Arroyo Grande

The 5Cities Homeless Coalition's South County Warming Center will be open on Monday, Dec. 28 and Tuesday, Dec. 29.

The warming center will be open each night from 5:30 p.m. until 7 a.m. the next morning at the South County Regional Center located at 800 W. Branch Street in Arroyo Grande.

Overnight guests will be provided with a place to sleep and a hot meal. Pets are not allowed, and no drugs or alcohol are permitted on-site.

Transportation to the warming center will be provided from the following locations:

  • Ramona Park: 5:15-5:30 p.m.
  • St. Anthony's, Pismo Beach: 5:40-5:50 p.m.
  • Pismo Beach Outlets: 6-6:10 p.m.
  • Fin's Restaurant: 6:20-6:30 p.m.
  • Oceano Duck Pond: 6:45-7 p.m.

Overnight guests are asked to arrive at the warming center no later than 8 p.m.

The warming center is activated when there is a 50% or greater chance of rain or temperatures are at or below 38 degrees.

The 5Cities Homeless Coalition is currently accepting donations of new sweatshirts, sweatpants, and socks, along with food items including coffee, tea, hot chocolate, cereal, granola bars, peanut butter and jelly, and individually packaged juice, crackers, cookies, and chips.
