Sunday marks the 433rd anniversary since the first Filipinos landed here on the Central Coast.
In 1587, the first Filipinos landed in what would later be known as the continental United States.
They arrived in Morro Bay 33 years before the British ship Mayflower landed at Plymouth Harbor.
The California Central Coast chapter of the Filipino American National Historical Society dedicated this historic site in 1995.
