Man arrested after live-streaming at Santa Barbara City Library

Santa Barbara Police say officers responded to Santa Barbara City Library Monday afternoon after receiving a call of a man violating the library's rules of conduct.

Police say the incident happened at around 2:55 p.m., and the subject recorded the interaction and live-streamed it on social media.

When officers arrived they say they arrested the male suspect for trespassing and resisting or delaying an officer. The suspect was medically cleared and transported to the Santa Barbara County Jail.

Police say the video received an abundance of interest from social media followers.

We reached out to the man in the video, Johnny Five O, but he declined to comment at this time.

We also reached out to the Santa Barbara Police Department for further comment but have not yet heard back.
