The Pad Climbing Gym in San Luis Obispo is offering free climbing for everyone at both of their locations Saturday for Global Climbing Day.
The gym is participating in a North Face campaign called 'Walls are Meant for Climbing.' North Face is teaming up with gyms around the world to provide inclusive climbing opportunities and lower entry barriers.
The Pad Climbing website says the goal of the free climbing day is to encourage those who would never even consider climbing to come in and discover a welcoming, non-judgemental, helpful community that wants to make a life changing experience for them.
The San Luis Obispo location is open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and the Santa Maria location is open from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Gym members receive access to the gym 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Kids under 3 years old always climb for free.
The gym also offers yoga classes and a weight room in addition to climbing walls.
