Community members in the local wedding industry hosted "Olympic-style" games in Nipomo Sunday afternoon, for wedding vendors and friends to compete in.

The third-annual "Wedding Games" took place at the Dana Powers House Weddings Venue.

10 teams competed in games ranging from cake-eating contests, obstacle course races, and a competitive bouquet toss.

All the funds raised from the event will benefit the San Luis Obispo chapter of Special Olympics.

"I thought about this a few years ago with a friend to have a way for us to be part of a wedding but have fun at the same time," explained Founder of the Wedding Games, Patrick Ang.

Photographers and food vendors from all over the Central Coast come out to the competition every year.

In the past, proceeds from the Wedding Games have benefited victims of the Thomas Fire.
