This weekend SLO Brew is holding a disaster relief fundraiser in response to the devastating fires sweeping Australia.
The local brewery and taproom is donating 25% of all food and beverage sales from Saturday and Sunday to the Australian Red Cross.
It's also the Makeshift Makers Market featuring more than 20 vendors. That's from 11 am to 4 pm.
The benefit starts at noon. SLO Brew Rock located in San Luis Obispo at 855 Aerovista Place.
Owner, Hamish Marshall is expecting 1,000 people through the weekend. Marshall is Australian so he says it's inspired him to help in any way he can.
"Obviously, I live here and Australia is very dear to my heart," Marshall said. "I think it's affected everyone all around the world. Everyone is gathering so we definitely want to be a part of it. We want to be a part of doing our piece to help whatever relief we can."
Live entertainment will also be on tap. Dante Marsh and Proxima Parada will perform Saturday. Local favorites, Noach Tangeras Band and Bear Market Riot are set to perform Sunday. The entertainers will perform until 9 pm.
SLO Brew says it's already raised $7,000 thanks to community members.
The Australian wildfires began in September and have killed 29 people and millions of animals.
