UPDATE (11:51 p.m.) - Power was restored within an hour, according to PG&E.
-------
ORIGINAL STORY (9:39 p.m.) - More than 5,000 PG&E customers are without power in parts of Morro Bay and Los Osos Sunday night.
According to PG&E, the outage began shortly before 9 p.m. and was impacting 5,871 customers as of 9:24 p.m.
That number is down by about 900 from 9:15 p.m.
PG&E says crews are en route to assess the outage.
No word on the cause but rain, at times heavy, is falling across the Central Coast.
Power is expected to be restored by 12:30 a.m.
WOW take a look at the recorded rain over the last 2 hours in SLO County! We could see up to 1 inch (possibly more at this rate) in some places by Tuesday morning.
