Laura DeLoye is making unicorn visits throughout SLO County to raise funds for the Alzheimer's Association this weekend.

DeLoye dresses up as a unicorn and does drive-by dances when people make donations to the association in hopes of lifting people's spirits and encouraging people to get involved.

According to DeLoye, the weekend is called "The Longest Day" because the journey through dementia and Alzheimers is a long one.

The fundraiser continues through July and the money will go towards supporting local programs like dementia giver education classes and support groups.

DeLoye says, so far, she has dozens of drive-by dances to get to this weekend and is sending videos to people out of town.
