A vigil for Private First Class Vanessa Guillen was held on Friday night in Paso Robles.
Guillen's disappearance in April attracted national attention. And since, her remains have been found near Fort Hood in Killeen, Texas -- where she worked.
On Friday night, Paso Robles community members gathered at the Downtown City Park to peacefully honor the life of Guillen and call for justice.
The group played recordings of a speech Guillen's mom gave and lit candles in her memory.
The main suspect identified in the disappearance of Guillen was U.S. Army Specialist Aaron Davin Robinson, who has since killed himself.
The Guillen Family says that Vanessa had planned to file a harassment complaint against Robinson the day before she was killed.
