Five miles away from the beach, lie some of the finest vineyards and many are heading to the water to get a taste.
SLO Coast Wine is hosting food and wine pairings, a live auction and music at the "Harvest on the Coast" in Avila Beach this weekend.
The three day event held at the Avila Beach Resort will offer samplings from more than 60 local wineries and restaurants.
On Saturday, guests will be treated to a live action auction showcasing rare wines, themed destination getaways, treats and more. It also featured the "Archie McLaren Fund-A-Need" lot.
If you're not too full, you can participate in more tastings for Surf's Up Sunday, where local wineries will host open house hors d'oeuvres, live entertainment and wine discounts.
Toast to the end of Harvest on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
