One local woman has a big reason to celebrate.
Idabelle Shields turns 108-years-old on Saturday and celebrated Wednesday afternoon with a party at Casa de Flores assisted living facility in Morro Bay.
Friends, family and other Casa de Flores residents were there to enjoy cake and live music.
KSBY has been there for some of Shields' past birthday celebrations where she said the key to a long life was to "have fun as you go along. When you're old, you have dreams, and you dream only the funny things that you did."
Shields was born before World War I. During her lifetime, she has seen 19 different presidents.
The activities director at Casa de Flores describes Shields as spunky, funny and amazing.
