Preparations are being made for the addition of new classrooms at Joe Nightingale Elementary in Orcutt.
The Full Day Kindergarten Project is one of two projects currently underway at the school on the 200 block of Winter Road.
The Orcutt Union School District says it hopes to have the seven modular classrooms ready for use in the fall.
The district is planning to have students return to campus at that time.
That part of the Measure G bond project is estimated at $427,000.
Another project underway using Measure G funds is the School Site Safety and Security project.
Phase 2 of the bond project is expected to start in the summer of 2021.
