A woman says she woke up to the sound of a bear breaking her fence at her home in Vandenberg Village Saturday night.
Karina Nunez says she and her brother-in-law used a cell phone to recorded the bear walking on the fence.
Nunez says her family coincidentally hosted a bear-themed baby shower earlier in the day before the sighting.
After seeing a real one in their backyard, Nunez says her family made jokes that the bear was making a late guest appearance to the shower.
The woman says the bear damaged parts of the backyard fence.
Monday, another person on Galaxy Way reported capturing video of a bear on his front porch overnight.
Calls to the U.S. Dept. of Fish and Wildlife about the sightings and whether there are any plans to work to relocate the bear have not been returned.
