Licensed marriage and family therapist Jonathan Gee says he's seeing fewer referrals for new clients since the state's COVID-19 restrictions began.

During what's been a stressful time for many individuals and families, Gee says it's important to recognize issues within the home and reach out for help.

"If you are feeling stressed, if you're having difficulty communicating, if you feel like there is distance between you and your partner or you and your family, make that call," Gee said.

The crisis hotline number for Santa Barbara County is 888-868-1649. In San Luis Obispo County, you can call 800-783-0607.

Gee is continuing to see patients virtually, using a HIPPA-compliant website for video therapy sessions. To contact him directly to schedule a session, call 805-321-8569 or visit his website.
