Toa Taua, a 2018 Lompoc High graduate, scored the first touchdown of his collegiate career as Nevada defeated Oregon State, 37-35, Saturday afternoon at Mackay Stadium in Reno, NV.
The former Braves running back capped off the Wolf Pack’s first drive of the game with a 5-yard plunge up the middle off a direct snap.
Taua finished his career day with 86 yards on 12 carries. He also caught one pass for eight yards and even completed a pass for six yards.
In three games as a true freshman for Nevada, Taua has rushed 26 times for 161 yards and one touchdown.
Nevada, 2-1, will be on the road next week at Toledo.
