Santa Ynez and St. Joseph and High School took home Northern Santa Barbara County Athletic Round Table Athletes of the Week honors.
Pirates tennis player Claire Collison played as the number one singles and swept Paso Robles, 6-2, 6-0, 6-0 and helped the team to a 14-4 victory.
"I’ve done quite well this year. Last year I was number two singles and I was always in the shadows of the older girls. This year because all the seniors have left, it’s just been me up there," Collison said.
St. Joseph senior wide receiver Trevor Cole was awarded the male Athlete of the Week. He received 98 yards on six receptions while scoring three touchdowns. He also recorded a 64-yard pick six and a 76-yard kickoff return for a touchdown.
"The coaches put me in the right position and made a play on the ball and got as far as I could," Cole said. "It was definitely a big win, we knew we lost the previous week and it would be bad to lose two weeks in a row so we prepared tough on the week and won Friday night."
