After San Luis Obispo girls basketball defeated Atascadero, 52-28 on Tuesday night, the Tigers advanced its season record to 11-0.
This marks one of the best season starts in program history for the Lady Tigers.
“We have a group that is very coachable. I think the biggest thing is team chemistry,” San Luis Obispo head coach Dan Monroe explained. “I mean, you can’t ever underestimate the value of team chemistry. Every single girl on this team understands her role. They do it well, to the best of their ability, and they all support each other.”
“We have a lot of really hard-working girls. I think we all work really hard for each other and so I think that’s something really special that has helped us to a good start this year,” said Lily Svetich, San Luis Obispo senior guard.
The Tigers next game will be against Nipomo on Thursday.
