Zach Johnson’s sac fly in the bottom of the 6th allowed Colton Gotchal to slide in safely with the game-winning run, as Arroyo Grande Valley Little League defeated Coast, 7-6, to become District 65 Champions.
In the 5th inning, Coast’s Cash Walden slid in safely to tie the game at 3, then laced a game-tying base hit down the right field line in the top of the 6th, as two runs came into score, knotting this one at 6-6.
AG Valley will represent its district in next month’s sectionals down in Thousand Oaks.
