Today's high temperatures cooled at the coast but it actually warmed inland today. Paso Robles hit 100 degrees, 105 is the record for the date.
The weather pattern is changing dramatically and will continue through Sunday as a trough of low pressure develops along the California coastline. Southerly winds will develop and the night and morning marine low clouds return to coastal areas otherwise partly cloudy skies will dominate.
High temperatures will cool as much as 20 and 25 degrees on Friday, Saturday and Sunday with Paso Robles only climbing to the mid-70s.
Only areas of patchy drizzle is forecast later on Thursday into Saturday. The monsoon storms currently in Arizona will push west but not far enough west to bring significant rain here.
Strong northwesterly winds, night and morning marine low clouds and below seasonal temperatures are forecast to develop later on Saturday into Tuesday.
