The Central Coast is receiving some major recognition as a wine country destination as two hotels were a part of the 10 Best Wine Country Hotels list curated by USA Today.
Summerwood Inn and Hotel Cheval from Paso Robles both made the list, with Summerwood ranked No. 4 and Hotel Cheval at No. 6.
“It is a great honor to have been chosen as a top 5 Wine Country Inn by the USA Today and reassures us that we are focused on the right elements. We have a wonderful location nestled in the Summerwood Vineyards, but we also strive to provide excellent service every day,” said Shayne Kline, general manager of Summerwood Inn, in a press release.
Summerwood says it features the quaint feeling of a bed and breakfast but offers the desired amenities of a luxury hotel. Hotel Cheval classifies itself as a luxury hotel featuring special touches like a gourmet breakfast and a s’mores bar.
Other California hotels making the list include Calistoga Ranch – an Auberge resort – at No. 2, Archer Hotel Napa at No. 3, Timber Cove at No. 5 and Poetry Inn at No. 9.
The reader’s choice award list was determined by consumer voting through the national publication. 20 hotels were originally nominated for the honor with only 10 making the cut.
