* WINDS AND TIMING…Gusty north winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts
between 35 to 45 mph will continue across the western portion of
the Santa Barbara South Coast, and the adjacent foothills,
through late tonight. The strongest winds will occur between
Refugio and Gaviota. Gusty winds are expected to continue past
midnight, then diminish some through the early morning hours.
* IMPACTS…Gusty winds will make driving difficult, especially
for high profile vehicles. This includes Highways 101 and 154
as well as the Gaviota and San Marcos Passes. In addition, the
combination of gusty sundowner winds with warm and dry
conditions will bring elevated fire danger to the western
portions of the Santa Barbara south coast and adjacent
foothills.
When driving, use extra caution. Be prepared for sudden gusty
cross winds.
