Much of this week the Central Coast sat under a ridge of high pressure, the winds were generally light which allowed for the blanket of marine clouds to be stubborn near the coast in the morning hours.
A big change for the region Friday through the weekend as the ridge collapses and NW winds pick up each afternoon. NW Winds 20-30 near the coast Friday afternoon will clear out clouds but the strong onshore direction will keep temps on the cooler side.
The pattern changes a little through the weekend with some offshore morning flow then robust onshore winds (15-30mph) in the afternoon and evening hours, this pattern will keep skies clear.
Another trough in the jet will reinforce generally cool and windy conditions Tuesday. In a bit of a forecast shift that trough looks slow to clear keeping temps generally mild through much of next week.
