Good morning, Central Coast! Happy Friday!
This has been said so many different ways this week, but more cloud cover and dense fog is in place once again.
Thankfully the marine layer is going to dissipate quite quickly and lead to sunshine across much of the region today and through Saturday. This will begin a short warming trend in the interiors, but it will not stay warm for too long, be sure to enjoy it while it lasts!
Highs today will reach into the 70s in the interiors, mid 60s across most communities with some 50s along the western beaches. These temps are close to what we have seen all week, and are about 10 degrees below normal for this time of year.
Cloud cover will linger on the southcoast into the evening.
Saturday will get a bit warmer in the interiors surging up towards 80. The beaches will stay consistent to today as the marine influence will stick around.
Enjoy the warmer temps Saturday though, cooler weather and more marine layer will make its way into the interior valleys by Sunday and drop temps with it.
Another trough of low-pressure dives into the region for Sunday into Monday which will again deepen marine influence allow cooling air to get into the interior and promote more onshore flow at the coast. Cooler temps are expected Sunday and for Memorial Day. Next week temps will stay constantly about 10 degrees below normal.
Deep in the extended forecast (first week of June) there may be a few chances at light rain, but even that isn't a sure bet.
Have a great day and a wonderful weekend!
