A vegetation fire broke out near Lompoc on Friday.
It was first reported on the 3600-block of Harris Grade Rd. around 12:34 p.m., officials say.
The fire burned about 1/2 acre before crews were able to stop its progress. Officials say no buildings were threatened by the fire.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
