According to Santa Barbara County Fire Department, at approximately 3:13 a.m. on Thursday, crews responded to reports of a structure fire on the 5800 block of Gaviota Street in the city of Goleta.
Incoming engines reported heavy smoke could be seen from a distance.
Once on scene, firefighters reported heavy smoke and fire coming from what appeared to be an auto-body store.
According to public information officer Daniel Bertucelli, the the fire was at Pepe's Mexican Restaurant and has since been knocked down.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
