Good Monday morning, Central Coast!
To kick off the day there is some dense marine layer fog across several of our beaches and some coastal valleys. This is a little patchy so not a huge deal but some may see some limited visibility for the morning commute.
The fog will clear out quickly and within a few hours of sunrise most locations will be clear. The locations particularly prone to fog (looking at you Morro Bay) will take longer to clear.
Temps this weekend were on the warm side with many locations climbing into the 80s. Sunday brought some slightly cooler temps but still pleasant, especially compared to the cool temps this winter.
Into the new week temps will stay mild but once again slightly cooler than the weekend/the last few days. This is all thanks to a low pressure sitting just to our south east that is bringing a bit more instability and cool air to the coasts. Interior valleys still have warm air in place.
Temps for today will be mild to cool at the coast where low 60s and some 50s are possible, upper 60s in the coastal valleys and interiors will reach toward 80.
The low pressure will be replaced by a ridge of high pressure later this week. The main impact will be warming across the region, interior valleys will feel that change most, some 90s are possible in the interior valleys by the weekend.
Have a great day Central Coast!
