Saturday was a nice and mild day across the Central Coast, with most areas seeing sunshine and moderate winds.
Some of the strongest wind gusts seen were in San Luis Obispo County, with speeds reaching over 20 mph.
Winds are going to be increasing significantly through Sunday afternoon, with some areas reaching over 40 mph in southern Santa Barbara County!
This has prompted the National Weather Service to issue a High Wind Warning that goes through Monday at 3 a.m.
These strong winds are influencing our wave heights, leading to a High Surf Advisory being issued as well.
A large north west swell is moving in Saturday night through Sunday, generating wave heights 8-12 feet with local sets to 14 feet.
Along with this advisory comes a Small Craft Advisory and a Gale Warning.
Temperatures will be slightly cooler Sunday than what we had Saturday, with even some cloud coverage earlier in the day.
