Good morning, Central Coast!
To kick off your Thursday morning there is quite a bit of marine air surging onshore and reducing visibility in some spots. This is very run-of-the-mill but there is some light drizzle possible for the early morning commute from the marine fog.
Temps today are comfortable at the coasts, thanks to that marine influence as well as the upper level pattern we are in. We are sandwiched between a large pacific low pressure system and the high pressure that is creating a heat dome over the midwest.
Interior valley highs will be in the 80s, 70s at the coasts and 60s at the beach.
Enjoy the picture perfect weather today temps are going to rise again as we head into the weekend. Highs in the triple digits are expected once again.
These temps are going to be a bit uncomfortable for us but I am very thankful that we are not under the large heat event that is in place across the midwest. Just look at the extent of heat alerts.
Next week temperatures look to remain slightly above average across the board with interior temperatures threatening 100 Monday through Wednesday with coastal valleys in the 80s to low 90s and beaches in the 60s and 70s.
The 8-to-14-day outlooks indicate temperatures near average to slightly above average with some reason to watch summer monsoon potential.
Have a wonderful day Central Coast!
