Sheriff Brown welcomed and swore-in three new Sheriff’s Deputies at the Allan Hancock College Law Enforcement Academy just before their graduation ceremony. Cameron Hossli and Blake Martinez were welcomed as new members of the Sheriff’s Office team, and Celeste Johnson was congratulated on her new role.

All three deputies have law enforcement skills. Hossli was a Santa Barbara Sheriff’s Office Explorer, Martinez’s father is a retired Lompoc Police Officer and Johnson was a 911 Communications Dispatcher with the Sheriff’s Office. During the graduation ceremony, Deputy Celeste Johnson received the Academic and Report Writing Awards for earning the top scores in each category amongst her classmates.

These new deputies will be taking all they have learned in the past six months and continue their growth in the Field Training program. Upon completion of Field Training, they will be patrolling Santa Barbara County as solo deputies.
