A weak frontal system slid thru the area earlier and provided a few drops of rain but the system is past us and high pressure will build quickly. Night and morning winds will turn offshore, skies will clear out and temps should be 10 to 20 degrees above average in the warmest spots mid week into the weekend. 80s and even a possible threat to 90s in some of the valleys.
One issue will be gusty northerly winds will developing each evening across the Santa Barbara south coast Tuesday through Thursday. I think we'll miss advisory level winds there today but over the next few days I would expect some wind advisories for this area.
Tuesday is a bit of a transition day but already we'll see 70s for most.
Friday and Saturday will be the warmest days as a ridge peaks. The ridge flattens Sunday into a zonal flow into next week but we'll likely still be above average on temps and dry.
