Zoo animals at Charles Paddock Zoo in Atascadero created their own art pieces Saturday alongside visitors and local artists.
Children could participate in arts and crafts while artists showcased their work for sale.
The zoo also offered food and beverages for purchase.
Wild About Art is included with the price of general admission.
The zoo has more than 200 animals including red pandas, monkeys, meerkats, parrots, a Malayan Tiger and a variety of reptiles.
The Charles Paddock Zoo is one of 233 institutions accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums.
The zoo is dedicated to the conservation of endangered species, educating the public about the natural world and providing a safe and stimulating recreational resource for residents and visitors.
