A young mountain lion took a trip to a mall in Sonoma County this week.
The big cat hid in a planter in front of a Macy’s department store for a few hours Monday.
Police say the cat is about 18 months old and 50 pounds.
Officials say the cat was just old enough to leave its mother and was likely looking for a territory of its own.
Fish and wildlife officials were able to sedate and secure the animal.
They then took it to a remote area of northern Santa Rosa.
